The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) is a federal law that establishes;minimum wage, overtime pay, recordkeeping, and youth employment standards. The;Equal Pay Act (EPA) is a federal law that requires men and women in the same;workplace to receive equal pay for equal work.This course provides an overview of the FLSA and EPA with a;concentration on employer concerns. It also covers important distinctions;between exempt and non-exempt employees and between employees and independent;contractors. Topics in this course include: FLSA, Minimum Wage, Overtime, Exempt;Employees, Contractors, Compensatory Time, Child Labor, Nursing Mothers, and;Equal Pay Act (EPA).
